Look Diary: One Lady-Like Sunday

I have not done one of this in a while..
I really had no intention to do one but the pictures came out so pretty I just had to :)

Dress : Next
Blazer: New Look
Shoes: Asos

Location: Church
Sunday

Photograph by Amos Niamke

With this look I went for a 50's look, my hair was curly, at the front, it was big and very full, and you all know, I'm growing my shaved side, so that part was brushed down. *save the planet* but I had to put lots of hair spray to keep my curls from falling, but Nameste sleek shine kept it glossy.

My face I wore Match Master Foundation by Mac, colour 8.0
My lips I wore Gypsy my ELF
I used Rimmel "exaggerate lipliner in some brown colour", My eyebrows were filled in with Sleek brown brow pencil and some gray from Ghosh
I wore Torid busher by NARS and Fashion Fair "golden lights' beauty highlighter.

BTW I want to thank Rhapsody B for awarding me with
I feel so loved and special... blogging is worthwhile because of people who show their appreciation and encourage each other, I am so glad to be part of your world x.
Visit the blog.

Thanks to Ms Infamous as well for nominating me for another versatile awards x

Academy Awards, The Oscars 2012 - Best Dressed Male

My Last three posts, including this one has been awarded related. I promise to not post another one.
The difference between this one and the other two is here, we look at the man.
I think put an fool (no offence to any of these handsome creatures here) in a suit and they appear like a gentleman. It instantly put them on a different level, one higher than their previous ones.
Not that I will know if any of these men are fools, but lets say they were already gentlemen. They look so handsome in these black time costumes. My favourite is Pharell Williams, He is such a hottie lol..

My fundamental intention was to draft this post about men, But Jennifer Lopez and Penelope Cruz took my breath away. I thought it would be only appropriate to feature them on here as well.
x

Brad Pit                   and                George Clooney

Brits Awards 2012: My Best Dressed

I love the early months of every new year, The award ceremonies usually quenches my appetite for fancy haute couture, elegant and extremely sexy evening gowns. Sadly I was very disappointed with the celebrity fashion at this years Brits awards. There were very few outfits that caught my attention in a good way unlike last 2011 Brits Awards.
Most of the time I was sitting in front of my television going; "what the heck is She wearing??"
Alexander Burkes, strangely constructed dress caught my eye, I sort of appreciated the whole Egyptian Goddess meets colour look, but unfortunately, that was not enough to make it to my best dressed.

My favourite look for this years Brits is Kylie Minogue in Yves Saint Laurent (YSL)
Her whole look defined elegance, neat and subtly constructed sexiness. She looked absolutely beautiful, and her soft but visible make-up elevated the whole look making it very glamourous without trying.

My second Favourite was Nicole Scherzinger, she looked effortlessly beautiful, she has an amazing body and this lemon yellow low cut dress really caused her curves to be visible. The beaded detail in the dress made her very radiant, she look lovely.

I love this girl, I think Rihanna can pull of almost anything, I love the rock and roll twist to this elegant dress, but I think she could have done without the whole gloves..

Jessy J looked very beautiful, but I am not a fan of the half naked look.

What I did during my M.I.A period prt.2

Part two of what I got up to during my absence from blogville.

Adaeze's 21st Birthday, we had dinner this amazing Chinese restaurant, called Feng Sheng, in Camden. It was beautiful. And we spent the rest of the evening in a VIP room at club Movida. It was an amazing night, she went all in and out. And I was glad to celebrate with her even though I was not feeling very well

My Don Don's Birthday lol.. Donna, she is in blue. I love this crazy chick, we went to the Lounge, WC1H London. We had so much fun. I am a rubbish bowler but I got lucky. The staff were so polite and friendly. Everybody that was there was just lovely and the atmosphere was so relaxed and calming, so you feel good to just have fun and not care.
We are definitely gonna go there again.

I have done alot of things during my MIA, like going to the Miguel's concert, and going out to eat. But i was not able to document all of them in photographs. I hope yall can forgive me.
Let me know what you got up to in your posts. I will be visiting.

Open Diary: Tulisa Constosvlos X-Factor Wardrobe

Hello Lovelies.. hope all of you are great and enjoying you Christmas holidays, if you have them.
I am great, busy! but fine.
I was reading the January issue of Glamour magazine, and the feature about Tulisa Constosvlos really help me appreciate her more.
I have never really been an N-Dubz  fan, but I didn't hate them neither, unlike some people. I seriously don't see the point bitching up about someone. If you have nothing good to say, keep your mouth shut, *mama always thought me*
But certain people are so rude, and forget that these people are actually real people, and just because they have chosen to live their life in the spotlight does not give nobody the right to, speak ill of them.

Before I get angry lol.. I just wanted to say I have been loving her on Xfactor. I did a feature about "Kelly Rowland X-Factor Wardrobe" And I thought it would only be fair and very good for me to one on this gorgeous Brit princess.

Jumpsuits were really it this year, and she looks so good in both of these. The white one with red pumps gives a Marilyn Monroe flare. Where as the pokka dots, embrace a very fun and trendy wear. She looks stunning, btw I am starting to think that red might be her favourite colour.  *i do not just saying*

Again with the red, she looks absolutely stunning in both these, she looks smart and sophisticated but also very feminine. In her feature she discussed knowing very little about fashion, but I think she can be forgiven because she wears all her outfits and they do not wear her.
And also people needs to stop comparing her to Cheryl Cole, they both might be brunette on the xfactor, *And I don't mind Cole, loved her less after the whole Gamu controversy* but this girl got killer curves and she is her own person.

I do not really like the dress on the left, but I love the black dress and those court shoes. Very smart but sexy *I really cannot get enough of her*

She has got amazing legs and she loves to show them off. My only problem with Tulisa is... she needs some walking in heels lessons. And its very important right now that she has become this style icon. I cannot stressed this enough because it is very cringing.. when she walks in heels. So If anybody can pass that on.

Apart from that, she is beautiful, talented, and very outspoken *in a good way*
I love her more so now that she described me so perfectly in the below quote of herself that I had to make it an image.

xoxo

What I did during my M.I.A period prt.1

Heey Blog world, sorry for my recent MIA. I gave you lot reasons, I am sorry, but I cannot promise to be fully committed this time round because I have so much work to do. And since its my last year, I am doing my best to achieve the best. So you have to bear with me. :)

In other news, this is a few of the things I have been up to during my MIA period :D
This is another cloth I made from Ghana, absolutely love it. I have a kente band at waist *I'm all for kente this year* I love handmade cloths, but I get tired with the normal way they make it, so I provide some sketches to the tailor and they make it how I want it. :)

The three pictures are from Britain & Irelands Next Top Model Live. It was on the 30th October 2011, I went with my ex-coblogger Zateesha, we had such a fun time. I wore the Black Dress for some company who rent designer dresses. It was a beautiful experience. The catwalk show was very fun. those gorgeous half naked male dancers *faints* lol.. And Bluey Robinson, is such a good performer Loved Loved Loved him.

A family friends wedding in early November 2011,  I wore this handmade tailored dress. The Material is called Kente, it is a traditional cloth from Ghana, the material itself is hand woven, I used two different types to make the dress. thus there is a contrast between the back, and the front, but i didn't take any back shot, Sorry :(.

Hope you are all doing awesome, and doing your work, and being good.
Have a great day, week, month

xx

Happy Belated Birthday To ME

I know I have been MIA and I apologies, but...
Thursday October 6, I turned 21 *spins around a does the dougie*
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!
My cousin, Princess Priscilla got me a pretty blue dress which I paired with brown military boots, for an effortless casual look.
On my birthday, I was woken up by a loud birthday chorus sang by my family *its sort of a tradition* had breakfast with them, received my  various gifts and cards and everybody departed.

My very good friend Angela took me out for a late lunch, *F.Y.I don't have wine before 5, it does things to you*
It was such a blast and we had so much fun, after I went to meet up with my lovely Zateesha and we went to this award thing for a course she did, which was also so much fun, we went west London, Piccadilly Circus to pay the deposit for my birthday booking, and then I went to see my boyfriend, and he got me the sweetest gifts *aawwww*

On Saturday, 20 of us went to a restaurant called little sicily, its an Italian restaurant, located at Rupert Street, W1D, central London.
The staff was friendly the food was lovely, If you ever go there, try their calamari, *yum yum*

I had such an amazing time and I want to say a big THANK YOU to all those who came, and a disappointed look to all those who did not.

It was such a fun 21st

P.s. I got one Lovely Blog Award from Stelzz (The Spring in my steps)
Thank you babe x

Outfit Post: Black & White Sunday

Forget what anybody told you, God don't like ugly, whenever you go before his presence, you have to try and look decent, or absolutely fabulous. lol
A beautiful Sunday, I was an hour late for the service, but since its a 3hour service, you can say I didn't miss much. I still however decided to take pictures before I got to church.
I love the camera but never have the time to get it out and take pictures, this particular day however I decided by all means I had to, I loved what I wore especially since I didn't know what to wear until 30minutes before I was due to leave.

I'm starting to get use to vlogging* as well thus after church when I got home, I did a random vlog??
It makes no sense but I'm getting better with imovie *yay*

xoxo..

Styles At The Gym

Before I go into this post, let me just say that the title might be a bit misleading. I am gonna talk about the styles of at the gym, but I want to also blog about one of my pet peeves, and I have a lot of them.

One thing I hate seeing at the gym is camel toe. you don't know what that is?
When, you little lady is drawn into your pants. this happens a lot when you wear tight clothes which is smaller than your size. If you are guilty of such offence shame on you!
I seriously hate it, i think you might as well be naked, I think some people cannot help it. If so is the case wear a longer top, to cover it, don't go around parading you little lady, she is private..

Moving on...
Styles at the gym, what people wear, I don't know about you, but what I have notice in every gym I have been to is that, there is always somebody who is totally over confident about their body. And want to make sure that you know it. Like they come in in these "batty rider" and belly tops. I am just think who are you trying to impress.
The gym is like the street, you don't show to much at once. Unless you are a "hoochie" (no offence) , you are not going to walk out of your house wearing hot pants and a belly top in stilettos. That just look ho*ish (again no offence)
Image source see what I mean?
I have seen people wear belly tops and shorts at the gym and look decent, but someone, even the way they go on the treadmill, its too seductive an it just looks wrong. (it might be just me)

Then I again I don't think you should go to the gym in an old baggy t-shirt and some old sweat pants. No No... because the way you dress affect your confident, so you should wear something you feel good in. When I wear sweat pants, i will compliment it with a fitted shirt, or wear a baggy top with leggings.

Even it out so you don't look funny or trying it too much.
source
The pants is loose but still shows off your bum and the top is fitted enough, so look sexy but not trying too much. However if you have a belly you might need to get a bigger size for the top so that you don't have a bulgy stomach. A lot of people will deny this but if some part of your body is not where it suppose to be, you will feel self conscious and that means you will not like the gym, which is the reason so many people don't work out.

source
This fitness outfit is super sexy, so if you are a nerve reck I won't advice it. The bottom is fitted and so is the top, showing off your whole figure. If you are in the gym for a great work out, it is totally fine, but you know you get those ones who push their bums in the air when they are on the cross trainer, and do some seductive highly soliciting stretches.

I usually get my gym clothes from new look or get the label. Dress how you feel, so long you go to the gym to work out and not for any other reason, you will be fine. :)

One Beautiful Sunday

I hardly ever do outfit post, because I always forget my camera. But on this beautiful sunday, after church, I went to dinner with my family, the camera was there because my vain mother insisted on bringing it, So I did. And here is what I wore;

Blouse = Top Shop, Shoes = Forever21, Skirt = New Look, Bag = Dubai, Earring = My Mums 14ct gold :)

A topshop blouse with zip at the back, its floral, thus embracing this season floral trend, I got this top 3months ago, I don't think the still have it.
The Skirt is a new look high waist skirt, This was very popular last year around Autumn. It has a bow, i could wear it with a shirt and tug it in. I wanted a very free, flirty look so I wore it this was just as a skirt, with a pair of Forever21 wedges, another trend this season. But I think I made it my own.

How I will wear the Look

Glamour did a post about celebrity airport fashion and style. Amongst them was Kelly Osbourne, Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and a whole bunch of them.
I selected my favourite looks, and how I will go about achieving them. We always shop for what we will wear when we get to a holiday destination. But we often forget that the moment we leave for a flight that is when the actual holiday starts. My mum always makes sure she purchase an outfit for her plane journey, and she couldn't be more right.
I am a firm believer in the notion that how you start something is often how you end it. So start your holiday looking fabulous, and you will potentially end it looking the same.

I Love Rochelle Wiseman casual, laid back, sexy look. however, for ultimate relaxation, I cannot be wearing a belly top lol. Not all of us have such a toned stomach. I will swap the crop top for a longer one, and those  shoes for some flat sandals.

I love Cheryl's look and I will keep it as it is. Is edgy but still chic.

Una Healy looks so lovely, I was so glad to find something this similar. Although hers is floral, I found a butterfly one, and I think its bang on. The look is easy to copy and you can swap the sandals for some shoes or even a pair of heels.

I love Taylor Swift. I am a guilty party to abusing her 'Speak Now' album. I adore every song on that album. I can relate to so much of them. However I have left it with rest now.
I love this look. It is very casual but nice enough to change those shoes for a pair of black stiletto's to edge it up for a dinner. To be more in this season trend, I will swap the plain skirt for a multi coloured tribal one, and the horizontal striped top for a lace blouse. You can wear this with flip flops for a casual look or a pair of high heeled sandals for a more sexy day look.
When I was looking for matching outfits, I found these outfits from Forever21 and Newlook and I had to add it to the airport casual look. I love the bright graphic t-shirt. Its definitely something I would wear. I am not a big fan of converse but lately I seem to really be into them.

If you are going on Holiday, have you thought of what you will wear to the airport. It has to be something glam but still comfortable enough to leisure through your journey.
Let me know.

Graduate Fashion Week Outfit Post

The Graduate Fashion Week was last week, It started on Sunday 5th June - Wednesday 8th June. I went to the Sunday exhibition with Priscilla. It was raining and all wet, which killed our buzz before we even got there. The event was alright, I did not see any of the shows, but the exhibition had some cool stuff and also a lot of junk, but hey who I'm I to judge, they say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. I saw a lot of cool fashionista's and some outrageous ones lol.

I wore a maxi skirt, handmade by my mothers seamstress. Its made with Vlisco cloth, very tribal and African. I have a top made with same cloth and its usually worn together. However I decided to match it with a white vest top and a blazer.
Priscilla also wore a dress made with a Vlisco cloth and paired it with a cardigan.

We stayed for only half an hour. We got the Company Mag goody bag for £3.00 which was a real bargain. There were a whole lot of things which probably totalled up to over £20.00, The only bummer was that the issue in the magazine had already been on sale and I got the copy way before the exhibition.
We stopped by Subways and got a sandwich, got on the Piccadilly line and went home.
