Styles At The Gym

Before I go into this post, let me just say that the title might be a bit misleading. I am gonna talk about the styles of at the gym, but I want to also blog about one of my pet peeves, and I have a lot of them.

One thing I hate seeing at the gym is camel toe. you don't know what that is?
When, you little lady is drawn into your pants. this happens a lot when you wear tight clothes which is smaller than your size. If you are guilty of such offence shame on you!
I seriously hate it, i think you might as well be naked, I think some people cannot help it. If so is the case wear a longer top, to cover it, don't go around parading you little lady, she is private..

Moving on...
Styles at the gym, what people wear, I don't know about you, but what I have notice in every gym I have been to is that, there is always somebody who is totally over confident about their body. And want to make sure that you know it. Like they come in in these "batty rider" and belly tops. I am just think who are you trying to impress.
The gym is like the street, you don't show to much at once. Unless you are a "hoochie" (no offence) , you are not going to walk out of your house wearing hot pants and a belly top in stilettos. That just look ho*ish (again no offence)
Image source see what I mean?
I have seen people wear belly tops and shorts at the gym and look decent, but someone, even the way they go on the treadmill, its too seductive an it just looks wrong. (it might be just me)

Then I again I don't think you should go to the gym in an old baggy t-shirt and some old sweat pants. No No... because the way you dress affect your confident, so you should wear something you feel good in. When I wear sweat pants, i will compliment it with a fitted shirt, or wear a baggy top with leggings.

Even it out so you don't look funny or trying it too much.

The pants is loose but still shows off your bum and the top is fitted enough, so look sexy but not trying too much. However if you have a belly you might need to get a bigger size for the top so that you don't have a bulgy stomach. A lot of people will deny this but if some part of your body is not where it suppose to be, you will feel self conscious and that means you will not like the gym, which is the reason so many people don't work out.

This fitness outfit is super sexy, so if you are a nerve reck I won't advice it. The bottom is fitted and so is the top, showing off your whole figure. If you are in the gym for a great work out, it is totally fine, but you know you get those ones who push their bums in the air when they are on the cross trainer, and do some seductive highly soliciting stretches.

I usually get my gym clothes from new look or get the label. Dress how you feel, so long you go to the gym to work out and not for any other reason, you will be fine. :)

Healthy Living, for the summer body!

First of all, I just want to say that, I congratulate all the beautiful full body curvy*licious* ladies.
Who hold their figure..
These are my inspiration for this summer.

In some of my previous post, I ranted about gym, and how I need to go more often, but as always there was an excuse why I wasn't going.
Most of these excuse were because of my studies and me being ill, but now I am done with exams and I'm perfectly healthy, no reason not to go right? WRONG! I didn't  go to the gym for about a week even when I had finished my exams. But this whole week I have been such an excellent girl.

Since Monday I have been going to the gym again. I do atlas an hour and half each session. I mostly strive to achieve two hours but as i just started to attend recently, I get tired so easily. I am taking things slow so hopefully I will be burning up to 1000calories a day.

I don't want to loose any weight, I am already a Uk dress size 8, which means US size 6, Europe size 36. I am 5.8, or 174cm tall, so I shouldn't be any slimmer for the normal person. I just want tone up an build some muscles. Not huge ones, just lean, feminine ones.

What I do at the Gym, I do a lot of card exercises, I usually do 30 minutes cardio on the treadmill,
Then another 30minutes on the cross trainer, by then I should have burned over 500calories.
Then I go to a class, Mondays I do "Body Pump" or "Pilates"(for posture)
Tuesday I do, Legs, Bums and Tums. Its like aerobics.
Wednesday I do Cardio blitz,
Thursday is Zumba day
and Friday is Max Step or Zumba
Saturday and Sunday I use for resting or if I missed a day for the week I will catch up.

We all know that, you can exercise 20hours a week but, If you don't watch what goes in your body, it will all be a waste of time and energy.

I on the other hand, I'm lucky, Sometimes I have a huge appetite, most times I don't. Carbs is the devil preventing you from having the perfect bodies. Most of these gorgeous women above have excluded them from their diet, or have only a minimum. Carbs is a source of energy. Being Ghanaian or African, or Black in general, I love my rice, cassava, plantain, yam, cocoyam... so no way in heaven I'm i giving that up for a "labeled" perfect body. No matter how much I want it :)

So I found a way that work for me, small portions. I don't have the time nor the interest to prepare 5small meals a day, so usually I try not eat after 7 and, if I am gonna have a heavy meal for dinner, I have it for lunch instead. Also I drink lots of water, and eat lot of tangerines, like 3 a day.
"They are a good source of vitamin C, they also contain potassium, magnesium, vitamin B1, B2, B3. A new research suggest that, not only does it protects against obesity but it also prevents 2 forms of diabetes and  atherosclerosis, the underlying disease responsible for most heart attacks and strokes."

I also adore Strawberries

And Kiwi's
Its a rich source of vitamin-C, It also contains vitamin-A and vitamin-E.
The seed contains omega 3, and a medium size kiwi is about 46calories, so you can have like 2 and be satisfied.

It seems like I have healthy lifestyle, trust me, I don't at all, I try when I can teat healthy but, when I am not bothered, double quarter pounder and bacon, plus milkshake becomes my friend. I only see him every now and then though. I aways feel guilty so I visit his enemy the gym after.

Any how, my exercise regime is to drink lots of water, eat a lot of tangerine and other fruits, have weetabix for breakfast and have fish at least once a week. Also every mill has to be a small portion, and try not to eat after 7pm.

A Very Naughty Girl...

I am always on some sort of diet, some of them last for two days, sometimes I can even do 2weeks. I always try my best to exercise a lot, which lately has proven to be a enormous challenge but I am certainly pushing through.
Today all my morals and believes regarding food went out of the window. I had a burger with cheese, grilled onions and bacon in it plus a whole lot of mayonnaise. I had fries/chips with honey mustard dip.
I had a chocolate milkshake, and then to wrap it all up, I pushed down this beautiful Passion Mango cheesecake with ice cream and raspberry sauce.

really the best cheesecake ever and its from Outback Steak House

Now I can't wait till the morning so I can reunite with the treadmill, I have got to burn these calories off. By the way, when did I become so obsessed with food anyways??
I usually either ate a lot or did not eat at all, but now is like I eat once a day (because i don't have time) and days that I do eat a lot, its always high calories food. I need to find a balance, any suggestions? (FYI -- I know you want some cheesecake now-- lol)

February Resolution!

I did well last year. I was highly concentrated on everything, from University assignment, to lifestyle at home, I was on top of my game. I went to the gym regularly. Somehow like three to four times a week. Sometimes I even did six days straight, leaving Sunday as the day of rest.

This year, my resolution was to exceed what I did last year, but as predicted with every resolution (not only the ones I make, but everybody else's,) it is not going that way. The chances are my determination have gone downhill faster than I could have ever presumed.

Usually when people talk about their hatred (or lack of interest)towards the gym, I could never relate, but now, it feels like I'm being forced to go. Even now as I'm getting ready to hit the gym, I'm looking for excuses to not go hence I am drafting this post.

I have tickets to see Trey Songz (hubba hubba)on Monday, that's what's motivating me as I need to pe picture perfect. I will post a picture of me in my blue dress. I should be on fire just like Rihanna in her blue dress.

Ciao for now, the treadmill is calling.
