Open Diary: Without Music....

All my friends don't understand why I listen to "heartbreak songs", "depressing music" "sad songs" *they call it*. But I think those are the best kind of music...
I try listen to as much Gospel as I can.

But I also love slow jam, I have always loved them, and for some reason, most of them are about broken hearts. There is something amazing about the way peoples, creativity flow, during periods whereby they are hurt. And Its very inspirational.  The way a writer is able to convey the deepest emotions is words. The way a singer can express pain and heartbreak through their vocals or a musician can  capture your mind with an instrument. An artist can illustrate things you would never imagine and make you fall in love with them. An Actor will play a role, that seems so real, you forget it was written...

I just love it when people express pain, it sounds crazy but.. I enjoy it, not their pain lol, but the way the express so beautifully. That is why I love Adele, all her song like most of them are about heartbreak, failed relationship, and that is not positive. But to me, her songs shows she determination to not be held back. I love her Albums, have always been in love with them. But not I am absolutely adoring 'turning labels', I just went back to that particular song recently, it came on, on one of my playlist and I had to put it on repeat.

These are some of the artists I have been loving. One of my very good friend Randolph, he has such a great taste music, and I always steal his discoveries. If you love soothing sounds, these are the people you need to be listening to. I love them, but if you are quite an emotional person, you may cry, but just try them.

If Dreams Could Come True

On this bright Sunday afternoon while baking cupcakes I was listening to Choice Fm( a popular urban radio station in London) and George Kay mentioned the possibility of B2K reforming. Now I know many people might not know or remember them, well you should they were a phenomenon, causing pandemonium where ever they went.
(J-boog, Raz B, Omarion and Lil' Fizz)

I can remember the day I first laid my eyes upon them, it was my cousins birthday and were setting up for the sleep over Uh Huh came on and I was in awe. From then on I was in infatuated, unable to contain my excitement went played on MTV, I spent most of my pocket money on Word Up magazine so I could plastered my wall with posters and my mind with B2K's star signs, favourite foods and colours. I know its slightly obsessive but i'm not ashamed lol.

Even though the group have disbanded partly due to 3 of the members leaving their management however Omarion felt that J-boog, Raz B and Lil Fizz wanting to pursue solo careers, Omarion has had the most success as a solo artist with songs "O" and "Icebox", but i never anticipated that B2K would come to an end and i still love B2K

Romeo, Romeo

During my early teen years i had many crushes the list includes J-boog(of B2K),Lil Zane, Danger(of ATL) and Bow Wow( formerly know as Lil Bow Wow), i had countless posters that concealed my walls, door and ceiling courtesy of Word Up magazine and Black Beat magazine and of course my mum who funded my obsession lol. My love for Bow wow grew and I became Mrs Shad Gregory Moss, often disregarding Lil Romeo's talent and appeal.
I was never a fan of Lil Romeo, I never understood the attraction or fascination but as of late my eyes are seeing the now mature Romeo in a completely different light. as i have matured my opinions and preferences have developed. A interview on the M'onique Show with the Miller Family displayed his maturity and sense of respnsibility, his younger sister Cymphonique Miller is a talented triple threat that is following in her brothers footsteps.
going to upload the interview but unfortunately I couldn't find it but the clip below is just as interesting so enjoy :)

Kim Kardashian - Jam (Turn It Up)

My first thought after hearing this song was "what the chuck".
I love the Kardashians, I love the family as if I know them personally, and Kim is my favourite, I'm always defending her. When I heard she had a song coming out, I actually was really looking forward to it. But now I am just biting my lips waiting for it to be over. Maybe it might be just me, but I think singing is not for her, no offence Kim, love you...a lot but not a supporter here..

What do you think

Trey Songz 28th Feb 2011

Trey Songz's, last night was a crazy. I got to wear my blue dress from 'get the label' dot com and my lace up wedges ankle books from Simmies shoes.  I was very excited about last night even though this was the second time I saw him, the first one was courtesy to Zateesha's mother. I had excitement bursting out of me like bubbles which I think was mainly to do with the fact that I had not been out in months. Just recently I completed a 'killer' assignment. I would have gone out any way, but Trey Songz was the bonus!

I would love to say that we were misled last night, but that might not be such an appropriate way to describe it, so I will say, they build up our expectation and delivered us a small portion of that, now most people say last night was awful. But those were the people who decided to stay in the crowd in front  of the stage. I understand how your adrenaline pumps up when you are so close, close enough you feel you could touch him... And for some reason you feel that touch will answer all your question. For ever since you've know about him, you've planned your babies...house...and your lives together. I understand this so well because not long ago I too was infatuated by these people (Omarion to be precise lmao), and I too would push, shove, yank to get my way to front. Well I only ever do that for Omarion, but I don't think I will do that again, the image of being a lady is too important to me.

Long story short, I decided to stay away from that sweaty dirty crowd, and I am glad I did, I found a great spot on the stairs with a good view of everything that went on. From that view, when you are looking down on everyone, you see how stupid it is, reaching out for somebody who's out of your league' not that he's too good for you, but the chances of you and him is 99.99% unlikely. I have established to myself after the last time I saw Omarion, that I am no longer a fan, but a supporter, some who will appreciate good music, good art good fashion, good film/acting, and choose to support that, but not idolize these celebrities anymore.

My opinion of him, Trey Songz is that he came on a bit arrogant, the first time I saw him in the 02 with J Holiday, I enjoyed J Holiday's show so much better, he can siiiiinnnng!!! When Trey came on he seemed too full of himself.. I like I am sexy, worship me sorta way... But those days I was whooped lol.
Now seeing him again last night with a whole different perspective, I was able to see things a bit more unbiased. Last night he came across as arrogant again. He was meant to be on around 1:00am, my guy did not arrived there till 2:40 am. When he came on the stage for about 5minutes he was just walking across the stage like it was his cat walk, now mind you, we might have paid to see him but by that time most people were angry! And not bothered anymore.

In my opinion his whole presence was overwhelming and not in a positive way. he was too full of himself, requested so many drinks so he can pour on people. Peoples weaves loool... I had no weave in my hair but that hair cost me and I would not have been very please. I do not think last night was worth a dime but to be honest he is super sexy! :D
Not many people have positive comments regarding the night, but I guess you can't always enjoy everything.

P.s my camera went funny on me :D
xoxx
