Healthy Living, for the summer body!

First of all, I just want to say that, I congratulate all the beautiful full body curvy*licious* ladies.
Who hold their figure..
These are my inspiration for this summer.

In some of my previous post, I ranted about gym, and how I need to go more often, but as always there was an excuse why I wasn't going.
Most of these excuse were because of my studies and me being ill, but now I am done with exams and I'm perfectly healthy, no reason not to go right? WRONG! I didn't  go to the gym for about a week even when I had finished my exams. But this whole week I have been such an excellent girl.

Since Monday I have been going to the gym again. I do atlas an hour and half each session. I mostly strive to achieve two hours but as i just started to attend recently, I get tired so easily. I am taking things slow so hopefully I will be burning up to 1000calories a day.

I don't want to loose any weight, I am already a Uk dress size 8, which means US size 6, Europe size 36. I am 5.8, or 174cm tall, so I shouldn't be any slimmer for the normal person. I just want tone up an build some muscles. Not huge ones, just lean, feminine ones.

What I do at the Gym, I do a lot of card exercises, I usually do 30 minutes cardio on the treadmill,
Then another 30minutes on the cross trainer, by then I should have burned over 500calories.
Then I go to a class, Mondays I do "Body Pump" or "Pilates"(for posture)
Tuesday I do, Legs, Bums and Tums. Its like aerobics.
Wednesday I do Cardio blitz,
Thursday is Zumba day
and Friday is Max Step or Zumba
Saturday and Sunday I use for resting or if I missed a day for the week I will catch up.

We all know that, you can exercise 20hours a week but, If you don't watch what goes in your body, it will all be a waste of time and energy.

I on the other hand, I'm lucky, Sometimes I have a huge appetite, most times I don't. Carbs is the devil preventing you from having the perfect bodies. Most of these gorgeous women above have excluded them from their diet, or have only a minimum. Carbs is a source of energy. Being Ghanaian or African, or Black in general, I love my rice, cassava, plantain, yam, cocoyam... so no way in heaven I'm i giving that up for a "labeled" perfect body. No matter how much I want it :)

So I found a way that work for me, small portions. I don't have the time nor the interest to prepare 5small meals a day, so usually I try not eat after 7 and, if I am gonna have a heavy meal for dinner, I have it for lunch instead. Also I drink lots of water, and eat lot of tangerines, like 3 a day.
"They are a good source of vitamin C, they also contain potassium, magnesium, vitamin B1, B2, B3. A new research suggest that, not only does it protects against obesity but it also prevents 2 forms of diabetes and  atherosclerosis, the underlying disease responsible for most heart attacks and strokes."

I also adore Strawberries

And Kiwi's
Its a rich source of vitamin-C, It also contains vitamin-A and vitamin-E.
The seed contains omega 3, and a medium size kiwi is about 46calories, so you can have like 2 and be satisfied.

It seems like I have healthy lifestyle, trust me, I don't at all, I try when I can teat healthy but, when I am not bothered, double quarter pounder and bacon, plus milkshake becomes my friend. I only see him every now and then though. I aways feel guilty so I visit his enemy the gym after.

Any how, my exercise regime is to drink lots of water, eat a lot of tangerine and other fruits, have weetabix for breakfast and have fish at least once a week. Also every mill has to be a small portion, and try not to eat after 7pm.

  1. Oh, I feel the same. But I've been on diet for a month now and I can see the results and I'm a little bit happier about the way I look.
